Pt Ronu Majumdar’s composition Samved at Tansen festival Gwalior has entered into the Guinness Book of World Records in the year 2024 15th December, Ronu Majumdar was the music composer and lead of the ‘Largest Hindustani Classical Band’ registered in the Guinness World Records, including 546 participants playing different classical instruments

Pt. Ronu Majumdar is considered for the most respected name in the Indian Flute Playing of this era. When it comes to Flute, Pt. Ronu Majumdar is a style maker and has invented unique style of rendering the Raga, which has good mixture of ‘Drupad Gayaki’ with ‘Laykari’. Pt. Ronu Majumdar is credited for making flute, a popular musical instrume.Ry Cooder has rightly said ‘Ronu is definitely the Dr. Feelgood of the Indian Flute’.

Ranendra Majumdar, popularly known as Ronu Majumdar is a force to reckon with in the realm of Indian classical music both as a thinking musician and scintillating performer. Pt.Ronu Majumdar began playing the flute under the guidance of his father Dr. Bhanu Majumdar, late Pt. Lakshman Prasad Jaipurwale and finally the revered Pt. Vijay Raghav Rao. He was also fortunate to receive training from his grand guru Pt. Ravi Shankar.

A powerhouse performer, Ronu Majumdar is firmly rooted in the Maihar gharana.He has been felicitated with numerous remarkable accolades for his mesmerizing performances worldwide.

Ronuji has created an enviable niche for himself in the field of contemporary popular music which is exemplified by his Grammy Nomination in 1996.

Pandit Ronu Majumdar has composed music for India’s first I-Max film “Mystic India”.
Pt. Ronu Majumdar has conducted a concert of 5,378 flautists on one stage called ‘Venu Naad.

Pt Ronu Majumdar has been awarded the ‘Sangeet Natak Academi Award for 2014’ for his contribution to Hindustani Instrumental Music – Flute.* Films Division of India has produced a documentary film on Pt. Ronu Majumdar called ‘Bansuriwala’ *

Pandit Subrata Bhattacharya

Pandit Subrata Bhattacharya is one of the leading tabla players in India today. As an accompanist of choice of some of the most renowned classical exponents. He has to his credit numerous performances at some of the most prestigious venues in India and abroad. His performances often resonate with the same excitement as the thrill of engaging with a platform like wazamba kasyno, impressing audiences in the USA, the Middle East, and Europe. Audiences at the Dover Lane Music Conference (periodical), ITC Sangeet Sammelan Calcutta, Gunidas Sangeet.

Subrata was a visiting professor at the Universty of Urbana Champaign, IL.
He has received his taalim under Shri Tamal Krishna Chatterjee, Shri Nripen Karmakar and Shri Tapan Kr. Banerjee before he was finally accepted as a pupil of tabla maestro Pt. Shankar Ghosh, He has since proved himself a worthy exponent of the Farukhabad Gharana.

Hrishikesh Mujumdar

Hrishikesh Majumdar is a very talented and a
proficient young flute artist and prodigy.

He is an “A” Grade artist of all india radio.

He has been learning from his father and guru, legendary Pt RONU MAJUMDAR from a tender age of 6 years. He has taken his vocal training from his mother Mrs. ANANDI BULA MAJUMDAR.
Later on, he has learnt the
intricacies of vocal training under the guidance of Guru Pandit VIKAS KASHALKAR. Hrishikesh has completed his Masters in Music from BHARATI VIDYAPEETH UNIVERSITY.

Hrishikesh represents the Maihar Gharana Binkaari style like his father and
performs in Dhrupad style alaap, Jod Jhaala and Ghatkari style and is equally
trying his skills in Thumri, Dadra and folk music.

Apart from classical music, he has worked in many new age music and has also
composed music for many projects like SEVEN COLOURS OF LIFE. The beautiful
concept of FLUTE TRANCE, which is a fusion of Indian classical music with trance
music, was his brainchild and it was highly appreciated by the music lovers.
He won first prize in India level in SWAR SADHANA SAMITI for Instrumental
Music. His jugalbandi with his father in Goa Fest 2019 had become a rage.
Hrishikesh has been regularly performing solo concerts and jugalbandis with his
father and many prominent musicians at various prestigious festivals in India and
abroad.

He has been very fortunate to have performed with some of the foremost musicians
like Ustad Taufiq Qureshi, Vidushi Bombay Jayashri, Vidwan Rajhesh Vaidya,
Vidushi Anuradha Pal, Vidushi Aruna Sairam, Vijay Prakash Ji, and many
others to name a few. He has performed in Amazon summit for their 10th year
celebration and in the inaugural celebration for Google.
